Iremia Skincare always was intended to be a minimalist soothing solution for sensitive skin, that is also multipurpose and can be used for your entire family. It was a thought that went against the grain of producing more products so a brand could sell you more. With my corporate marketing background, managing some pretty large brands, I wanted to take a different approach. I was craving simplicity and efficacy, I was looking for less, and I wanted authenticity in every part of my business. This year I learned to focus on what is truly important, and let go of many of the things that I accumulated in my life either mentally or physically. I focused on relationships and connections, nurturing by body and was more intentional about what I allowed into life, and my head.
Personally, my sensitive skin has come a long, long way. Going from experiencing flare-ups, constant redness and inflammation, hiding behind scarves and trying to cover up with concealer, to comfortable, healthy skin. There isn't a "miracle" product out there that can fix it all, but it's about finding the combination internally and externally that works for you. One of my biggest triggers was also stress-related, and managing anxiety was one of the key elements I had to work on (along with overhauling how and what I eat). I talk a bit more about my journey here and here.
It seems like yesterday when Iremia Skincare was just a little thought in my head. It has been a wild journey, to say the least, but I couldn't be doing this without all of your help. Your messages, emails and feedback keep me going. Making it to our 4th year has been no easy feat, especially with a young family in tow, and especially in a pandemic! Yet I don't think I would have it any other way as I learned so much and poured so much love and energy into it all the little details. Listening to your experience with our products has given me so much joy and truly what keeps me chugging along.
So thank you from the bottom of my heart. Thank you for allowing our products to sit on your shelf, to nourish your skin, and for supporting this small business that means so much to me.
xo,
Elaine Li
